Timo would probably actual take advice from Ivan - at the very least register his opinion, but never mind. He never had a father until he was almost in his teens, and even after that he was mostly absent. The closest he had to a male role model was the head of the household, and Timo had very quickly learnt to keep himself out from under his feet.

"Oh, of course there is!" Timo said, quickly, leaning to pick up the pot so he could dish out more to Ivan. He always tended to make too much anyway. Just a little bit longer and then Ivan can sleep.
